Stuck with Your Spouse

So many people around the world are staying home to try and stay healthy and flatten the curve of this terrible virus going around. By staying home many are “stuck” at home with their spouse. I am married to an essential employee but I would love to be stuck at home with him.

Depending on where you live you may have been isolated with your spouse for some time and your relationship is being put to the test. I’ve heard many women complain about how their husband is driving them crazy, their boyfriend is lazy, their marriage isn’t going to make it. It’s heart breaking that some people feel stuck with their partner but it reminds me how blessed I am.

Cheesy love coming up… I don’t get sick of my husband. Do I like my alone time? Of course. But not because I need time away from him, just that there are things I like to do that he doesn’t (think planners and writing my book). If I could have my husband home 24/7 I’d be the happiest girl in the world because I married my best friend.

If you’re single and reading this, when picking a partner for life, picture yourselves retired. Does the thought of being together all the time excite you? If you’re making a list of things that would annoy you, maybe you’re not as evenly yoked as you’d like.

If you’re married and struggling, take a moment and picture retirement without your other half. Does it cause your heart to ache? Time to have big conversations to make sure you come out of this together.

Marriage is hard work. You have to show up and put in the effort. I am blessed to have a partner who is everything I need and everything I want. He was hand picked by God for me and I fall more in love with him each day.

Enough being cheesy! Times are tough, I pray you’re “stuck” with someone you love ā¤ļø

God Bless!
