I’m Stronger

I turned 32 three weeks ago and flipped a switch. I was done being out of shape and tired all the time. So I started eating better and running. But just because my body isn’t what it once was, doesn’t mean it’s weak.

I’ve given birth to three babies completely naturally. I’ve been breastfeeding or pregnant for the better part of the last 5 years. I’ve walked 60 miles over three days. My body has done amazing things, the least I can do is give it grace.

It’s amazing the difference you feel when you start to treat your body right. It didn’t take years, it took days. Three weeks in and it’s a world of difference.

I can run two miles without stopping. I couldn’t do that before. I’m actually enjoying running when I used to hate it. I feel bad when I don’t work out. I feel bad when I don’t eat well. And one of the biggest changes? I’m happier!!

Being stuck in the house day in and day out has taken a toll on my mental health. The changes I’ve made have been very helpful in many ways. I’m stronger. I know, I know, it’s only been three weeks. I can’t say I’ll never slip but this feels so different than my past fitness efforts.

My convictions are stronger. My why got bigger. There was no more time to drag my feet. I had to make a change. So here I am, better, faster, stronger. I’m a work in progress and that will always be the case. But my body has done great things, and because of that – I am stronger.

God Bless.
